BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF ADA COUNTY TO PROVIDE SAFE PLACES FOR KIDS ON SNOW DAYS
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County are offering safe places for all Ada County children to spend their snow days. Children 6-18 who need a safe, fun place to spend their snow days are welcome at the Boys & Girls Clubs. Parents may drop their kids off from 7:00 am until 6:00pm at either the Meridian Unit: located at 911 N Meridian Road, Meridian, ID (208) 888-5392 or at the Moseley Center: located at 610 E. 42nd Street Garden City, ID (208) 321-9157. Members will be charged a fee of $5 for the full days service, a fee of $15 will be charged to new members ($5 plus a $10 membership fee). Children will be served breakfast, snacks and lunch. BACKGROUND:
Boys & Girls Clubs of America comprises a national network of nearly 4,000 neighborhood- based facilities annually serving some 3.8 million youth, primarily from disadvantaged circumstances. Known as “The Positive Place for Kids,” Clubs provide guidance-oriented programs on a daily basis for children 6 – 18 years old, conducted by full-time, professional staff. Key programs emphasize character and leadership development, educational enhancement, career preparation, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness, and recreation.
